Grand Casino Operational Guidelines under Level 2

Hours of Operation

Our hours of operation remain unchanged including the Grand Bar & Restaurant. 
Our hours for table games remain as Saturday & Sunday from 2pm; Monday - Friday from 4pm. 

Entry to Grand Casino

All customers and staff will be asked to use the NZ COVID Tracer App to sign in, or to manually register.

From Friday 3 December 2021, Grand Casino requires all visitors to the casino to show their vaccination passes before entry can be granted.

Although face coverings are not required for guests, these are encouraged. All Grand Casino staff will be wearing face coverings. 

Gaming Floor

Face coverings are no longer required on the gaming floor but guests, but we reccommend that you wear one. 

All members must use their card on the machines.

Grand Bar & Restaurant

Wait staff will serve parties at the tables or machines. For meal service, the staff member will take your order, give you a disc to alert you as to when your food is ready in the restaurant. There will be no meal service at machines.

Guests are able to approach the bar for service under the current restrictions.

Health & Safety

The entire floor will be sanitized prior to opening and then consistently during our operating hours.  All surfaces will be properly wiped down.

All staff will be wearing masks when on the gaming floor and main door.

Masks will be available as will our hand sanitizers, and guests are encouraged to wear masks. 


Grand Casino's staff have a 91% vaccination rate and will reach 100% over the coming weeks.  

From midday Friday 3 December 2021, all Grand Casino visitors will be required to show and verify their My Vaccine Pass to gain entry.

Some customers have expressed difficulty accessing their My Vaccine Pass online.


There are two ways to apply for a My Vaccine Pass,

1. After you have received your two Covid Vaccine jabs, you can apply online at My Covid Record or by calling 0800 222 478

2. The other is a medical exemption - you will need to visit your GP for this


The decision to require vaccination certificates ensures that Grand Casino has the highest available levels of control to protect our staff and our customers to meet our legal obligations under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015.
